Procedure for TMU claim of a pilot 

 


Step by Step TMU Process
Who does what

There can be 2 scenarios:

 

Scenario 1:

The pilot is declared TMU during their regular renewal medical assessment by DGCA empaneled class I medical examiner.

 

·       DGCA declares the pilot as TMU

·       Pilot informs the company of being TMU with supporting documents from DGCA

·       Internal team informs company doctor along with required documents (CA35-unfitness)

·       Claim Intimation is given to the insurance company about the TMU by Vistara.

·       Once the pilot is fit, they submit a fitness certificate to the Company Doctor along with supporting documents.

·       After receiving medical reports/ fitness certificate from the crew. The company doctor will evaluate the results and will share the request letter/fitness certificate with the training & licensing team to obtain medical appointment dates from DGCA.

·       DGCA confirms the medical appointment date.

·       Pilot goes for medical examination on the given date.

·       DGCA issues form CA 35 mentioning the fitness or further unfitness of the pilot.

·       Upon receiving DGCA certificate, in case of fitness, end of TMU. Pilot fit to join duty and claim papers are sent to the insurance company by our Team.

 

Scenario 2:

 

·       The pilot becomes sick, and the company doctor declares TMU

·       The pilot becomes sick. The scheduling team/TCS informs the same to the company doctor.

·       The company doctor declares the pilot as TMU and informs DGCA about the pilot's TMU.

·       Claim Intimation is given to the insurance company about the TMU by our organization.

·       Once the pilot is fit, they submit a fitness certificate to the Company Doctor along with supporting documents.

·       After receiving medical reports/ fitness certificate from the crew. The company doctor will evaluate the results and will share the request letter/fitness certificate with the training & licensing team to obtain medical appointment dates from DGCA.

·       DGCA confirms the medical appointment date.
